Meetings link teachers with academics

Newcastle University has set up two groups which provide essential links between teachers and university staff. The groups meet for 4 evenings a year and bring together school teachers from across the region with academics and administrators at the university. One group is for the Life Sciences, the other for Physical Sciences & Engineering.

The meetings are informal and provide a forum for communicating changes in the school curriculum, discussing how to enhance progression and to develop new ideas such as the 'Teachers' Toolkit'. Typically the evenings begin at 5pm with some wine and a buffet, followed by discussion and concluding around 6.30pm.

The university welcomes new members to the group. For further information or to register your interest, please contact us.
