From the smallest plankton that populate our seas to the most powerful ships that cross our oceans, the School of Marine Science and Technology (MAST) at Newcastle University provides Europe’s largest single base for all education and research related to the marine environment. Our School’s Outreach Programme reflects MAST’s commitment to supporting education access in its broadest sense, recognising the need to facilitate greater engagement with, and stewardship for, the marine environment amongst all members of society. The project, InspiringSeas, is just one of many initiatives MAST is undertaking to achieve this.
